Elk Rapids has one of northern michigan's most kid-friendly beaches. The water is bright, clean, and shallow for quite a ways out- making it easy for kids to enjoy.
We like to get to Veteran's Memorial park in the morning to set up our spot, and enjoy bit of quiet before it tends to fill up in the afternoons.
There is also a volleyball sand court, tennis courts, and children's playground.
Pizza w/ Chef Charles
At lunch time we walk a ½ mile to Chef Charles and enjoy some delicious cheesy pizza. They have an outdoor patio in the back, a large array of toppings for personalized pizzas, and a 👌crust
Our seester-in-law's favorite is the Chef Charles Pizza
Pesto, Four cheeses, Artichoke hearts, Feta cheese, Calamata Olives, Pine Nuts and a Sesame crust
It doesn't hurt that the walk back to the beach is so beautiful too 😀
