The Boarding House - Pioneer Woman

Living like Queens of the Ranch

We had been anxiously anticipating our stay at the Boarding House since we managed to get a reservation the day the site opened. To be honest, we got more than one reservation to start... in my effort to get a room while the site was flooding and freezing - I ended up unknowingly making about a dozen reservations... oops :) Thankfully, the Boarding House staff were very gracious as they worked through the list of overzealous patrons such as myself to get us all the one reservation we really needed.

That gracious hospitality continued when we checked in. The lobby was an elegant ode ranching, and the staff was so kind to help us carry our bags up to our third floor room. Speaking of their graciousness, as we checked out, there was an odd duck of a guest who asked the staff to measure the dimensions of this horse photograph, and they did it without batting an eye. What in the world is that man going to do with that info ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Tack Room
I felt like the queen of an ultra-lux ranch in this room. The wood, the leather, the attention to detail and the pops of color- loved it all.

Amenities, Amenities, Amenities
Wine and Cheese Hour
You can mingle with staff and other guests with a vast array of cheese and wine. And if you can handle the heat, you can enjoy it on the lovely outdoor deck.

Turn Down Service
Every night the staff turns down the bed and leaves freshly baked cookies

Morning Treats
Every morning we were given complimentary coffee or hot chocolate and baked goods. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my friends were in love with their Spicy Cowgirl (a cold brew with cayenne, chocolate and vanilla cream).

And finally, ROOM SERVICE
On our final day we got the Merc's breakfast bests delivered to our room.

We got eggs, biscuits and gravy, sticky buns, breakfast sandwich (ham, pepper jack, green chili and egg) and Edna Mae's pancakes. Those colorful little balls in the red dish were flavored butters, and they were fun twists to brighten up my pancakes.

The adjoining space to the Boarding House was under construction, and it looked like another Pioneer Woman project, so who knows what else may be available soon.

In conclusion, add a stay at the Boarding House to your bucket list,
and you too can live like Queen of the Ranch πŸ‘‘
